After almost 10 years since the last update for Mac OS 7, and after many pleas from enthusiasts, Apple finally released the next version of it’s Mac OS 7 operating system. The update is recommended for anyone using Mac OS 7.4 - 7.6. It includes general fixes and updates for the popular software. Other updates include:
- Better MS-DOS compatibility
- Time zone and daylight saving for 2006 and 2007
- Better support for floppy disks
- Better support for full color displays
- Ability to show the seconds in the clock located in the menu bar
- Stickies update to give ability to use bold and italic fonts
- More system wide drag & drop
- Printer support for printers other than dot matrix
- Support for 56K modems
- Quicktime 2
- An easy way to upgrade out of the Nineties.
